The Fuse Portfolio Show is put on by Bradley University's Interactive Media Department, along with the Slane College of Communication and Fine Arts. Selected to be Executive Producer by Faculty and Staff, I was responsible for the entire production of the show. Fuse is a year-end event for the public and area employers alike to get a feel for the Department of Interactive Media's creative and technical skills.
Prior to the production of Fuse 2016, there had been no official Student Producer position. Given this, I spent the semester building up a repository of resources and guidelines that future Producers would be able to reference and in turn build off of.
As Student Producer, I spent the semester working in tandem with my team leads as well as project leads to make sure all student centered aspects of the show were ready for the public. Other interactions included meetings with the Museum's Director of Public Events to make sure all aspects and logistics of the show are taken care of. Meetings with the Dean of the College as well as the Department Head were held on a week-by-week basis to ensure clear communication across all channels.
